Bonnie and I enjoying a wonderful dinner! Everything from the side dishes to the main entrees were flavorful and delicious, along with great music filling the air!
BEET SALAD- arugula – pistachio pesto – goat cheese

SHELLFISH PLATTER – 2 oysters/ 2 pickled shrimp / alaskan king crab / 1/4 maine lobster

I had been to STK Los Angeles and STK New York awhile back and remember it being really good. STK Las Vegas reminded me how good!!! Looks like I will be going back a lot more often.
It was great to meet the man behind it all. The ONE Group Executive Chef, Stephen Hopcraft at STK Las Vegas. He is also recognizable from Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” contestant and Food Network’s “Chefs vs. City”.
Lunch at Ta-eem Grill trying shawarma (chicken)for the first time!
Shawarma is a Levantine Arab or Arab meat preparation, where lamb, chicken, turkey, beef, veal, or mixed meats are placed on a spit (commonly a vertical spit in restaurants), and may be grilled for as long as a day. Shavings are cut off the block of meat for serving, and the remainder of the block of meat is kept heated on the rotating spit.
One of my favorite go to spots in LA is Cecconi’s, especially on a Monday night! Fun crowd, very European feel, great terrace, bar, wood-burning oven and of course the most important…the food is delicious!!!

pizza with burrata cheese and white truffle (special)
ahi tuna tartare, avocado, chili & mint (so refreshing)
burrata, beets, avocado & pistachio (great combo)
grilled octopus, lemon, caper & olives (if you are not a fan this WILL change your mind)
Its open for breakfast, lunch & dinner! If i could i would spend ALL day there!!!!

Burrata/Beets combo is my favorite combo with a Iittle olive oil, balsamic vinegar and pepper. I get this every time I go to Westside Tavern. I even started having this at home on a regular basis. So good!
