Rao’s Hollywood with Shaun O’Hara

Fun night at Rao’s Hollywood with my East Coast friends Shaun O’Hara (former NY Giant & NFL Commentator) and Jen Groover (Entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker, Author)!

Rao’s has 3 locations…New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood.

N9NE Steakhouse at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas

Celebrated my birthday (Feb. 25th) in Las Vegas!

It’s a friends birthday on the same day. He had his bash in Vegas for the weekend. We were staying at Palm Resort Casino, had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse, went dancing at Ghost Bar and enjoyed the rest of the time in the Hardwood Suite where they were staying. Full bar, more food and shooting hoops on the basketball court (in the suite). It was AWESOME!!!

MENU:

N9ne Rock Shrimp
crispy, spicy sriracha sauce, lemon aioli

Point Judith Calamari
fried, cherry peppers, lemon, spicy marinara

Sashimi N9ne
market fresh fish, shrimp, tobiko caviar, fresno chili, jalapeño, soy sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger

The Greek food here brings me back home! They’re known for their seafood! Cooked or raw its always prepared just right. Everything is!!!

We enjoyed the lunch menu…..

Raw-lavraki (Mediterranean bass) sashimi with olive oil

Tomato Salad-feta cheese, seasoned with Greek herbs & extra virgin olive oil

Grilled Octopus-sashimi quality Mediterranean octopus, charcoal-broiled.

Milos Special-Lightly fried zucchini, eggplant, tzatziki and kefalograviera cheese

Lavraki-grilled Mediterranean bass

Shrimp Saganaki-cous cous, tomato and feta

I had been to STK Los Angeles and STK New York awhile back and remember it being really good. STK Las Vegas reminded me how good!!! Looks like I will be going back a lot more often.

It was great to meet the man behind it all.  The ONE Group Executive Chef, Stephen Hopcraft at STK Las Vegas. He is also recognizable from Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” contestant and Food Network’s “Chefs vs. City”.

Marrakech Moroccan Las Vegas

As soon as I walked into Marrakech Moroccan restaurant we were greeted by the owner Tariq and the environment and mood made me feel alive! The belly dancer was working her way through the tables of patrons, the music was captivating and I was ready to eat, enjoy the show and dance!

We had the Prix Fixe 6 course menu. Every dish was tasty! Loved the shrimp with lemon/garlic sauce, beef & chicken was so moist and dessert was divine!

Just when I thought I couldn’t eat anymore the next dish would come out. I ate EVERY last bite. It was too good to pass up! I didn’t care how full I was…and that’s where the belly dancing came in!!!!

Served the traditional way, with heaps of assorted vegetables including butternut squash

Our version of the classic Moroccan pastry stuffed with bananas, nuts & chocolate. Topped with heaps of powdered sugar, cinnamon and served with traditional mint tea

Ouled Thaleb Syrah (red)
Wild berry, blackberry. Fruit & smokey spice. Medium body with lively finish.

Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu

Dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway.

Baked lobster Roll wrapped in soy paper, Shrimp Cocktail, Brussel Sprouts, Twin Lobster Tails, Petite Filet, J Lohr Red WIne.

I usually don’t have room for dessert, but i couldn’t resist their signature dish warm butter cake!
